1. I pretty much always sing in the shower. Usually Opera.  

2. I grew up with my dad and my older sister. So I've always been kind of 70% tomboy and 30% girlie girl. I liked Power Rangers when I was a kid and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I read comic books. I've always been a daddy's girl so I grew up liking what he liked. Hence the reason why Classic Rock is my favorite, old westerns, Bruce Lee flicks, and mob movies (like Casino and The Godfather) are a favorite, he is also the reason why I love cars so much. I will never forget how he beams with pride when he catches me outside working on my own car or when I talk to him about my job (which revolves around race cars).

3. I love fishing and hiking.

4. I am not super close with my mom. She left when I was 5 and I barely saw her growing up. She is where I get my goofiness, my affinity for laughter when times are tough, my resilience, my love for bluegrass, and my love for all things artistic. It took me years to understand her leaving and to come to terms with the effects it had on me. But I have learned over the years that there is no shame in being affected by something like that even when you're an adult. It taught me how to adapt, how to find the positive amongst a sea of negativity and how to be a good woman based on instinct alone. I overcame it.

5. I never intended to have the career I do now. I went through highschool with plans to go to college and become a teacher. I still have a few regrets about not teaching as it is very near and dear to my heart. However I wouldn't trade my job for the world. It's not the best paying job and sometimes clients are a pain in the ass, but I get to create on a daily basis. I feel very lucky for it.

6. I have a playlist on my itunes for just about everything.

7. Despite the fact that I am mostly a tomboy, I still want what all girls want: a little romance. I'm kind of a hopeless romantic. Though I hide it well. In fact I'm so much of a hopeless romantic that if a guy ever sang a mushy song to me, I'd probably melt into a  puddle on the spot. I've never been serenaded.

8. I'm very tender-hearted. I would never say anything on purpose to hurt someone's feelings (in fact I am the kind of person who holds her tongue if I think what I want to say would hurt someone). I would feel extremely guilty if I hurt someone's feelings in any way and this affinity of mine for being overly kind often gets me hurt in the process (i'm tender-hearted remember). But I honestly don't mind. I'd rather be tender-hearted and overly kind than be an asshole to people. You never know what other people are going through and the world has plenty of negativity in it, I don't feel like it's my job on this earth to add any negativity to the mix if I can help it.

9. I have ADHD. I rarely sit still, I have a hard time paying attention, and I am definitely a master procrastinator. However as I've grown I've learned to handle the problem and can easily deal with it in my adult life. I find that if I have some music playing, and grab myself a drink and take little mini-breaks every few hours or so I can get by with no problem at all. I always found it odd that I have ADHD when I'm the kind of person who is hell-bent on getting things done (which I do, my best friend tells me I'm a force to be reckoned with).

10. I've always had less than perfect self esteem. Very much so. I don't think I'm insanely gorgeous. I don't walk around thinking I have something so much better than any other human being. However I feel that there's too big an emphasis on appearances in this day and age. I know I didn't get kissed by the ugly fairy on both cheeks, but I feel more empowered by my brains, my ability to adapt, my stubborn-ness, my ability to connect with other people, and my sense of humor than I ever will about my looks. Because looks fade. If people still think I'm pretty when I'm in my 40's then great. But I want to be respected and gain things in life because I used means other than looks to acquire them. So yes, I don't have good self-esteem when it comes to how I look, but I do have days where I absolutely love the curve of my back or the color of my eyes or the way my skin is milky and pale and freckled, then there's the other days: the ones where I feel unattractive. But on those "unattractive days", I always feel a little bit more of a sense of accomplishment when I do something awesome, because I did it using strengths that are unique to me, strengths that mean a lot more than looks ever could.
